Ben grew up in the small artist community of Ojai, California. He had a passion for art from an early age and was featured in his first art show at 10.
Ben uses oil and acrylic paints and posca pens not only on canvas but also on more unique media, including furniture, skateboards, musical instruments, and many others.
He has also designed wine labels, album covers, and artwork for tattoos. His favorite specialty is murals.
Ben has a considerable portfolio of murals. He got into murals quite by accident when he redesigned and painted his middle school’s music department mural as a gesture of appreciation for the school's impact on his artistic upbringing. The Ojai Avenue has been displayed for all to see and led to many mural commissions throughout Southern California.
Ben is inspired by the natural color and motion throughout our world and universe. His style reflects his vision, and it attempts to convey the hues, shades, and movements that most people do not easily perceive. To him, the environments around us are never static but instead are always evolving, radiating auras and energies that constantly change.
